The Fiscal Responsibility Commission, FRC, has called on concerned parties to quickly resolve crises in the on-going two-hundred-and-fifteen MW power project in Kaduna, which led to its taken over by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria AMCON.
The Commission’s Director of Planning, Research and Statistics, Maryam Mohammed, stated this while inspecting the project at Kudenda, Kaduna State.
Maryam specifically frowned at the role of AMCON in taking over the project even when the project was at 86 percent completion with no outstanding payment.
She said the agency would invite the relevant parties involved in the project to get necessary briefs, to enable it prepare a comprehensive report on the FRC findings for onward submission to the Federal Government.
