The Northern Broadcast Media Owners Association of Nigeria, NBMOA, has appointed Alhaji Muhammad Babande as the interim chairman of the executive council of the association for a six month tenure with effect from 1st December, 2024.
The appointment was announced in a letter dated 29th November, 2024 and signed by the Chairman Board of Trustees, BoT, of the NBMOA, Alhaji (Dr) Ahmed Tijjani Ramalan.
Ramalan said the new chairman of the executive council has been tasked, amongst others; conduct an election to fill-in vacant positions in the association.
The BOT added that the NBMOA expects BABANDE to use his wealth of experience to reposition the association towards enhancing freedom, better working environment and marketing opportunities for northern broadcast stations.
