The Director-General, National Youth Service Corps NYSC, Brigadier General Yusha’u Ahmed, has advised corps members to embrace the regimented lifestyle of the camp and stop seeking rejection or relocation.
Ahmed gave the advice while addressing the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1 corps members at the NYSC orientation camp, Issele-uku, Delta.
The Director-General commended camp officials and corps members for the camp’s state, urging them to stay disciplined and observe good hygiene to guard against cholera or any form of disease.
According to him, corps members must see themselves as representatives of the scheme, therefore, living up to its expectation of a disciplined lifestyle.
He warned the corps members against indulging in self-rejection, explaining there had been reports of some members asking to be rejected or relocated.
Ahmed, who declared that the welfare and security of corps members remained the scheme’s priority, warned against them embarking on unauthorised journeys.
