Ekiti Guber Poll: INEC Boss Tasks Staff On Code Of Conduct, Professionalism

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has challenged its staff to uphold the commission’s Code of Conduct, display usual sense of responsibility, professionalism and firmly resists any unethical behaviour during the Ekiti state governorship election on June 18.

INEC Chairman Mahmood Yakubu, who made the appeal in Abuja in his message to staff on the state’s election, also advised them to ensure that no political party or candidate was accorded any advantage over the other.

He explained that from June 2021 when the commission released the timetable and schedule of activities for the poll, it had collectively implemented many activities and taken every step to guarantee a free, fair, credible and inclusive process.

The INEC Boss had at the Stakeholders’ meeting assured political parties, their flag-bearers and the Ekiti State residents that the choice of who becomes the next Governor of the state is in the hands of the voters.
