Fifteen African countries are expected to converge in Lagos for the 2019 International Table Tennis Federation, ITTF Africa Cup, which will kick-off on August 3rd at Teslim Balogun Stadium.
Nigeria’s Aruna Quadri and Egypt’s Dina Meshref are defending champions of the tournament and they are expected to battle against other players for their places in the 2019 ITTF World Cups.
Aside host Nigeria, countries expected for the three-day championship includes Algeria, Benin Republic, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Congo Brazzaville, DR-Congo, Egypt, Ghana, Guinea, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Togo and Tunisia.
Also, since establishing himself as Algeria’s best male player, Sami Kherouf has been making desperate efforts to halt the supremacy of Aruna Quadri and Egypt’s Omar Assar in Africa. But all his efforts have not materialised.
