President Emmerson Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe, has commended the government of Nigeria for its assistance to the people of Zimbabwe, who were recently hit by a tropical disaster, Cyclone Idai.
Mnangagwa, made the commendation when he received a Federal Government Delegation, led by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, on Wednesday at the State House in Harare.
The Zimbabwean leader also congratulated Buhari on his re-election saying he is happy that he won the election for the second term as leader of Nigeria.
Earlier, Onyeama expressed gratitude to the President of Zimbabwe for the warm reception accorded to the Nigerian delegation.
The minister said Buhari had directed him to deliver relief items comprising medicine and medical equipment to the government of Zimbabwe to help the country recover from the devastating effects of cyclone idai
