The Commissioner for Business Innovation and Technology in Kaduna, Idris Nyam alongside the state’s Chief Information Officer, Gerald Ilukwe confirmed this to newsmen shortly after their meeting with NITDA’s Director General Kashifu Inuwa in Abuja.

The decision to train the citizens followed the courtesy visit earlier paid by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy Isa Pantami, and Inuwa, NITDA Director General to Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-rufai concerning the training.

Inuwa added that the training would be held in two batches to accommodate everyone, saying the e-Government Training facility donated to Nigeria by Korean government would be used to train some people, while others would be trained through the NITDA Academy.

In his remarks, Nyam, observed that there is need for federal agencies to partner the state governments especially in the provision of intervention projects. He added that the State already had the political will to build the ICT ecosystem, noting that agencies’ involvement would be for the benefit of all.
