The Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, has announced a new tariff plan that would commence on December 13th, 2024.
The Commission said it would be unveiling the new set of tariff plans for telecom operators on the mentioned date.
The Executive Vice Chairman, EVC, and Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of the Commission, Dr. Aminu Maida, made this announcement in Abuja.
The commission had previously planned to announce the new tariff plan on October 27, but the date was postponed.
The new tariff plan, according to the Maida, is expected to bring relief to telecom consumers by simplifying offerings and eliminating confusion regarding data and airtime usage.
The NCC has imposed a limit on the number of tariff plans that operators can offer, restricting them to a maximum of seven.
