Taraba State Government has relaxed the fourteen hours curfew imposed on Jalingo and surrounding villages at the wake of invasion of some communities by gunmen.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to Governor Darius Ishaku, Iliya Vekyu Akweh and made available to newsmen in Jalingo.
Liberty News correspondent in Taraba Bashir Adamu says the curfew now runs between 6pm to 6am as against the initial 4pm to 6am daily.
The statement further appealed to the security agencies in the state to ensure enforcement of the curfew. It directed residents of Jalingo, the state capital and surrounding villages, especially those at the areas affected by the crisis to ensure compliance.
