The Council of Imams and Ulama Kaduna State chapter has urged all Muslims to adhere strictly to all precautionary advise against the spread of coronavirus in Nigeria.

The Council in a statement by the Secretary, Yusif Yakubu Arrigasiyu, urged the people of Kaduna State and beyond to ensure strict adherence to public health advises at all times to avoid contracting and spreading the corona virus.

The Council, based on expert advise, directed All Juma’at Mosque and all five daily prayers whose population exceeded 20 to suspend congregational prayers until further notice. It insisted that this directives is in accordance with the teaching of the noble prophet Muhammad; peace and blessing of Allah be uphon him.

The council also  appreciate the proactive measures been taken by the Kaduna state Government to curtail the spread of the virus and therfore urged the people of the state to cooperate with the Government on the issue.

The Council appealed to well to do inviduals to assist their neighbours who might find it difficult to take care of themselves at this very difficult period, appealing to Muslim to intensify prayers for Allah’ intervention so that the coronavirus case never find its way to Kaduna state and all other parts of Nigeria that is yet to reach and cure those already infected.
