Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, has inducted 77 graduates from the department of Nursing Sciences, University of Jos.
The Registrar/Secretary General of the Council, Faruk Abubakar, administered the oath of office on the inductees in Jos.
Abubakar, tasked the inductees on professionalism and service to humanity, decrying the huge exit of professional nurses from country yearly in search for greener pasture abroad, advised the inductees to collaborate with other health professionals in the cause of their duties.
Abubakar thanked the university and the lecturers of the department for their commitment to duty and producing quality graduates.
On his part, the Vice of the University, Tanko Ishaya, said that the nursing department was established in 2003 and had since then churned out quality nurses who are contributing toward the growth of the health sector.
The vice chancellor expressed deep commitment of the management of the University to channel huge resources towards ensuring that the department thrives on quality.
