Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr has threatened to quit if the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF fails to extend his contract within two months.
Rohr’s current contract with the Federation will expire in June next year.
It was reported that Rohr had held discussions with the Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Sunday Dare, demanding the extension of his contract by two to three years.
The Super Eagles are unbeaten since the conclusion of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, registering back-to-back impressive draws against Ukraine and Brazil and have maximum points from their first two group matches of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
In another development, the Super Eagles Supporters Club has applauded the team for winning their first two matches in their qualification campaign for the 2021 African Nations Cup.
The Supporters Club National President Vincent Okumagba stated that the Eagles have demonstrated their preparedness to surmount all obstacles in ensuring that their qualification is a smooth seal without the usual last minute panic.
