The Acting Inspector General of Police,Mohammed Adamu, has reiterated the determination of Nigeria Police Force to implement community policing in the country.
Adamu made this known at a meeting with Civil Society Organisations Non-Governmental Organisations and Human Rights groups and other critical stakeholders in Abuja.
He said that the police under his watch, would operate all-inclusive policing system and that they were open to constructive criticism to deliver on their mandate.
The police chief said that no police anywhere in the world could survive or perform its core mandate effectively without the support and cooperation of the people.
On his part, Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, said that there was always need for interaction between the three arms of government and NGOs.
He noted that quite often, there was always misunderstanding between non-governmental organisations and government.
