Some terrorist have kidnapped a Catholic Church, priest Reverend Father Abraham Kunat in the Kachia local government area of Kaduna State.
The Chancellor of Archdiocese of Kaduna, Reverend Father Christian Emmanuel, who confirmed the incident in a statement said the parish Priest of Saint Bernard Catholic Church, Idon-Gida was abducted at Saint Mulumba, Kurmin Sara around 12:30 am on Tuesday.
According to him, the victim has been residing at the Saint Mulumba parish all along due to the insecurity situation in the area.
The chancellor, however, calls for prayers and support from the government and the Christian faithful that God Almighty will take control of the situation, and bring the priest him back safely.
Meanwhile, Kaduna State Police Command is are yet to comment on the development.
In another development, four minors have rescued from human traffickers and the suspect arrested in Sokoto state.
State Commandant, of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC Mohammed Dada confirmed the incident at a news conference in Sokoto said the children were sighted by the operatives to board a vehicle to Illela Local Government Area with the suspect.
