Coach Austin Eguavoen says Super Eagles has the quality that will ensure they would not struggle at the African Nations Cup, AFCON in Cameroon, despite the short training camp.
The Eagles is expected to open training camp today, Wednesday in
Abuja, but the some of the 28-man squad are not due in camp till next
week which means they will not have enough time to prepare for the
AFCON, which begins January 9.
Eguavoen said expectations for the Eagles to do well are high, noting
that the AFCON is not a small tournament.
In same vein, Former Super Eagles Coach Christian Chukwu says Austin
Eguavoen has the capability to lead the team to a successful outing at
Cameroon 2022 African Cup of Nations, AFCON.
Chukwu however hinges his confidence on the level of support
Eguavoen gets as Interim Head Coach from the Nigeria Football
Federation, NFF.
Former Coach, who said Eguavoen’s experience in African football, both
as a former national team player and a Coach, stands him in good stead
to do a good job in Cameroun. He also advised the coach to always
choose the best available players for every match.
