The Northern wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN has charged Northern Muslims to join the rest of other faithful in the country to celebrate this year’s Sallah celebrations peacefully as they concludes the Ramadan fast on good note.
The Association’s Chairman, Yakubu Pam said the Sallah celebration calls for sober reflection and as such the Muslim leaders should share whatever they have with the less-privileged in the society.
He also noted that as they observe the prayer in their private Mosque and homes due to covid-19 Pandemic, they should pray for peace in Nigeria and the rest of the world.
Pam called on them to also pray for the peace of Northern states for God to bring to an end the current state of insecurity in most states of the North as cases of kidnapping, banditry and other forms of attacks in the region still persists despite all the efforts of the federal government to bring the insecurity in the north to an end.
He wished President Buhari and Sultan of Sokoto Sa’ad Abubakar well as they join their families and other Muslims to celebrate this Sallah.
