President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo are to spend the sum of 3.087 billion naira on travels within and outside the country this year.
According to the details of the 2022 federal budget, which was signed into law by the president, on Friday, last week, the president plans to spend 2.309 billion naira on travels, while the vice President was allocated the sum of 778.2 million naira for the same purpose.
The budget showed that the President would spend more money traveling abroad than within the country. He is to spend 1.533 billion naira on his foreign travels and 775. 602 million naira on local trips.
Vice President Osinbajo is expected to spend 476 million naira on foreign travels and 301.964 million naira on his travels within the country.
Budgetary provisions for the president and his vice, captured above do not include the travels budget of 162.253 million naira made for the State House Headquarters, which includes other workers in the seat of power.
