The Katsina State Government has called on the Federal Government to speed action on security measures to enable farmers’ access their farmlands.
Governor Aminu Masari made the call when a delegation from Defence Headquarters, Abuja, visited the state on fact-finding over security challenges in the state.
Masari, represented by his Deputy Mannir Yakubu said that the call was imperative in view of the recent banditry attacks across the state.
Earlier, the leader of the team, Major General B.I. Ahonotu commiserated with the state government over the attacks and casualties in the state.
Ahonotu, who said that he was representing the Chief of Defence Staff, General Gabriel Olonisakin said it is pathetic, horrifying and terrible, but they are doing everything possible to save the situation.
