The Chief Imam of the Federal University of Technology, Minna Central Mosque, Bashir Yankuzo has condemned the occurrences of kidnapping, banditry and cattle rustling in some parts of the country.

Yankuzu who made the condemnation in Minna, Niger State described as senseless, the killings being perpetrated by the criminals in parts of the country.

He, therefore, urged the Federal Government to provide more equipment to the Armed Forces to enable them tackle the security challenges facing the country more effectively.

The Scholar also commended the federal government for introducing community policing, saying, the initiative would help to address the lingering security challenges in the country.

He called on Nigerians to support the federal government in the ongoing fight against banditry and kidnapping by giving information on miscreants to the nearest security agencies for prompt action.
