The Accelerating Nutrition Results in Nigeria Project, ANRiN has resuscitated about 30,000 malnourished children in the state through myriad of interventions.

Coordinator of the Project in Kaduna, Zainab Muhammad-Idris, who made this at a one-day stakeholders’ debriefing workshop in Zaria, Kaduna, stated that they have assisted the state in the management of the children who were acutely malnourished.

She also explained that the ANRiN project was largely a preventive intervention against the onset of malnutrition.

According to the Coordinator, the project has in the past three years reached out to over four million beneficiaries comprising children, lactating mothers, pregnant women and adolescent girls.

Also, the Commissioner for the State Planning and Budget Commission, Mukthar Ahmed, while speaking to journalists at the sideline of the event, restated its commitment to continue to coordinate all the nutrition stakeholders and Ministries Departments and Agencies, MDAs.
