President Muhammadu Buhari has said that no particular religion or faith would be imposed on Nigerians as he swore to defend the constitution of the land.
President Buhari also said that it was dangerous, deceptive and ungodly to play politics with religion.
The President in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity in Abuja on Friday said that some unscrupulous Nigerians are again falsely and wickedly claiming that the administration has an agenda to impose Islam on Nigeria.
Adesina in the statement claimed that the objective of those making the allegation was to stoke up religious division for political gains. He said, some of these same persons made these devious and fabricated claims ahead of the 2015 election.
