A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has granted bail to the president of Nigerian Bar Association, Paul Usoro, in the sum of 250 million naira, with one surety in like sum.
The Court also ordered the arrest of the Commissioner for Finance in Akwa Ibom State, Nsikan Nkan; as well as the state’s Accountant General, Mfon Udomah.
The EFCC on Friday re-arraigned Usoro in a Federal High Court Lagos, on 10 counts of 1.4 billion naira fraud.
The Court also ordered the arrest of the state’s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Uwemedimo Nwoko; and the cashier at the Akwa Ibom State Government House, Margaret Ukpe.
Justice Rilwan Aikawa issued a bench warrant against the four Akwa-Ibom State officials on Friday following an application by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The Judge said the four state officials must be produced before him on March 18th by security agents.
