The Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai has executed an air interdiction mission on 16 August 2024 in Arina, Southern Tumbuns, Borno State.
A statement signed by the Director of Public Relations and Information of the Nigeran Airforce,
Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet says five key terrorist commanders believed to have been present at the location during the operation.
These include Munzir Arika, Sani Dilla, Ameer Modu, Dan Fulani Fari Fari, and Bakoura Arina Chiki, along with over 35 other foot soldiers were eliminated.
The statement adds that before the mission, intelligence had revealed the clandestine migration of terrorists into the area from neighboring locations
And confirmatory Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance missions conducted on the 12 and 15th of August 2024.
Identified numerous terrorists and active structures concealed under trees.
