President, Nigeria Table Tennis Federation NTTF, Ishaku Tikon has said that there was progressive improvement in the performance of players that competed in the just-concluded African Games trials held in Lagos.
Tikon said in Lagos that the skills exhibited by the players showed that they were committed to intensive training under their coaches in their locations.
The 134 players comprising male and female participated in the NTTF organised African Games trials, held from June 25th to 26th in the Knockup Hall, National Stadium, Lagos.
He said the quest to select the best 10 male and 10 female players was an achievement, adding that the trials had national and international certified referees as officials of the two-day event.
While congratulating the selected players, the NTTF boss said that arrangement was in progress to invite the players to national camp, while the foreign-based would join them for the second phase of trials.
