The Kaura Youth Coalition, KYC and Takad Youths Association, TYA have alleged that some 600 bandits with sophisticated weapons are hiding on the Zangzang Hill in Kaura local government area of Kaduna State, urging security operatives to dislodge them.
The KYC President, Derrick Christopher and his counterpart, Abin Vincent, in a statement called on government to immediately establish a military base between Kaura and Ryom councils to address the inflow of criminals.
It pointed out that there is an ongoing mining of tin (goza) by Ganawuri natives, who sell the products in Jos of Plateau State and it is on the same camp that the Takad, Fulani and Sholio natives were slaughtered at will. The Group however, expressed satisfaction with efforts by security operatives in arresting five bandits terrorizing the community.
Also, the Coalition of Northern Groups for Good Governance, has cautioned politicians behind the killings and sponsored protests to repent of their mission to destabilise Nigeria.
The Coalition’s President, Abu Mohammed, while speaking at a news conference in Abuja, alleged that the partisan merchants of violence and killings were contracted to cause unrest, agony and bloodshed in parts of the north.
