The Secretary of Conference, Methodist Church of Nigeria, Reverend
Michael Akinwale has called on Christians to celebrate the birth of
Jesus Christ with hearts full of gratitude.
He gave the advice at the maiden edition of an evening of
songs,
organised by the Chartered Institute of Bankers
of Nigeria, CIBN, in
Lagos.
The cleric said the season is one that every
living soul ought to be
grateful for, especially for the gift of Christ
and for life.
The evening of songs was conceived to provide a platform for
members
of CIBN and others in banking and finance
community to celebrate and
share warm moments together in the spirit of the
season.
Earlier, the Institute’s Chairman, Uche Olowu, expressed
gratitude to
God for the extraordinary successes the
Institute had recorded in
various activities in the course of the year.
