The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Kaduna Council has appealed to the Governor Nasiru El-rufai to extend the urban renewal to rural communities across all corners of the state, while expressing satisfaction with the ongoing projects of the state government.
The Union made this known in a communiqué signed by its Chairman Adamu Yusuf at the end of its monthly congress meeting.
The communiqué commended El-Rufai for appointing Ibrahim Musa, the former Daily Trust Bureau Chief in Kaduna, as his new Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity. It also applauded security agencies for their efforts in tackling the security challenges in the state and urged them to do more.
The Council noted with dismay, the shortage of pipe-borne water in the state, especially with the advent of the dry season and called on the state government to take all necessary measures to salvage the situation.
The Union announced that the 2019 NUJ Press Week would hold from December 12th to 14th.
