President Muhammadu Buhari and Yemi Osinbajo are expected to spend over 3 billion naira on travels within and outside the country in 2022.
Details of the 2022 budget, which was signed into law by Buhari on Friday, indicated that the President plans to spend 2.309 billion naira on trips, while the vice President was allocated 778.2 million naira for the same purpose.
The budget also showed that Buhari would spend more money foreign travels than within the country. He will spend 1.533 billion naira on foreign trips and 775.602 million naira within the country. Osinbajo is also expected to spend 476 million naira on foreign travels and 301.964 million naira on his travels within the country.
It also showed that President Buhari would spend 301 million naira on foods and catering, while his Honorarium and Sitting Allowance was allocated 174. 176 million naira.
Osinbajo was allocated 156.662 million naira for food stuff and catering services, as well as, 20.26 million naira for meals and refreshments for his functions.
