Super Eagles Captain Ahmed Musa has reaffirmed the resolve of his team mate to give Egypt a run for their money, with just six days to the blockbuster in the Group-D clash at the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON in Cameroon.

The Nigerian side is expected to fly into Garoua, Cameroon today by after they were given a send-forth dinner in Abuja last night.

Musa while speaking during virtual media session insisted that the Eagles were not going to be having sleepless nights over Egypt’s topmost marksman, Mohamed Salah.

He also remained positive about the chances of the Eagles in Cameroon despite the not impressive preparations leading to the kickoff of the tournament.

It was gathered that Salah, who is in prolific form for Liverpool this season, will lead Egypt against the Super Eagles in the Group-D opener at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon. He also leads all scorers in the Premier League this season with 16 goals, including one in the 2-2 draw with Chelsea last Sunday, his last match before leaving for Cameroon.

Although Egypt has won a record seven AFCON titles, they have only succeeded twice in seven clashes with Nigeria in the competition ahead of the January 11 clash.
