The People’s Democratic Party, PDP and its presidential candidate in the February 23 election, Atiku Abubakar maintained that President Muhammadu Buhari was not qualified to have contested the poll. This is coming ahead of the August 21st date for submission of final written addresses by parties to their petition,
In the final written address filed before the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, they alleged that Buhari should be disqualified.
They had filed objections against the All Progressives Congress, APC, President Buhari and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC. They asserted that they have proved all allegations contained in their supplication against the conduct of the election by the electoral body.
Their lead counsel, Levy Uzoukwu, SAN in a forty three-page final address filed on behalf of the petitioners, they demanded that they have proven the fact that Buhari lacked the vital academic qualification for the position of Nigeria’s President.
