A German foundation Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung has urged media practitioners in the Nigeria to be honest in their reportage of the 2019 general poll.
The foundation’s Resident Representative in Nigeria, Vladimir Kreck, gave the charge today in Abuja.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC’s timetable, the Presidential and National Assembly election would hold tomorrow Saturday, February 16th while Governorship and State Houses of Assembly election is slated for March 2nd.
Kreck said the role of the media in ensuring
free, fair and peaceful election is to observe and report the electoral process
objectively. He called on the candidates in Saturday’s poll to accept the
outcome of the election peacefully or seek redress in court without inciting
violence.
