About 2,000 applicants across Kaduna State will be selected from the 15,000 that applied for the Technical and Vocational Education and Training, (TVET) Maximisation project.

About 2,000 applicants across Kaduna State will be selected from the 15,000 that applied for the Technical and Vocational Education and Training, (TVET) Maximisation project.

The Implementation Manager of the project and also the Area Manager of Industrial Trust Fund, (ITF), Garba Hassan, made this known in Kaduna during the screening exercise.

He also explained that over 121,000 persons had applied, but that the pilot phase of the project aims to equip only 15,000 individuals with skills across seven states, which comprises: Lagos, Ogun, Edo, Enugu, Kaduna, Nasarawa and Gombe, from August till December 2022.

The Project Manager noted that the project is divided into two, in-class and out-class, adding that applicants would undergo intensive training for the periods of three months, then a six-month Industrial training before graduation.

On his part, the Commissioner, Ministry of Business Innovation and Technology, Kaduna State, Kabir Mato, assured that the project would reduce rates of unemployment in the State and also create job opportunities,  particularly for the teeming youths.
