$16bn Power Fund: Buhari Vows To Probe Past PDP

President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed to probe the 16 billion dollars
reportedly spent by past administrations on the power sector.
Buhari who stated this during the presidential campaign rally of the
APC, in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, said he will make public officers
accountable to the people, just as he assured that his administration will
take seriously its programmes of security, economy, and infrastructure.
He said he would probe and recover the 16 billion dollars spent on
power by the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, led past administrations
with nothing to show for it.
The president’s campaign train had earlier visited Governor Seriake
Dickson at the Government House, Yenagoa and the Bayelsa State
Traditional Rulers Council, where he met with monarchs in the state
before arriving the campaign rally venue.
