The Police Command in Bauchi has arrested 1,464 suspects and recorded 850 cases in the past two years in the state.
The Spokesman of the Command, Mohammed Wakil, stated this at the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, Peace and National Integration summit, in Bauchi.
He said that the suspects were arrested and prosecuted for various offences including robbery, kidnapping, rape, homicide among others.
Breaking down the figure, Wakil said the command recorded 112 robbery cases and prosecuted 287 suspects while 74 kidnapping cases were recorded and 174 suspects prosecuted.
Wakil said that 231 suspects were arrested and prosecuted in connection with 186 rape cases recorded within the period under review.
