The Police Command in Kano State says it has deployed adequate security personnel across the state to ensure hitch free Sallah celebration.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer Abdullahi Haruna in a statement in Kano said the police would partner with the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Nigeria Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, KAROTA, Hisbah and other civil volunteers in the state to enforce traffic regulations and ensure free flow of vehicles during the celebration.
Also in Borno state, the Police and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps , NSCDC said over nine thousand officers had been deployed to provide effective security during the Eid-el-Fitr break in Borno.
The state’s Police Commissioner, Mohammed Aliyu reiterated commitment of the force towards ensuring total protection of lives and properties throughout the period.
Similarly, the Borno State Commandant of NSCDC, Ibrahim Abdullahi said the command had deployed its personnel to collaborate with the police and other security agencies in providing security.
