The Federal Ministry of Health says all the states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT have received their disbursements from the Basic Health Care Provision Fund.
Secretary of the Ministerial Oversight committee of the Ministry Chris Isokpunwu announced this at the inauguration of the ministerial committee and technical working group for the full implementation of the National Health Act, 2014, in Abuja.
It will be recalled that following a decade of planning, in October, 2014, the former President Goodluck Jonathan signed the National Health Act into law.
The Act, which provides a legal framework for the provision of health care services to all Nigerians and for the organisation and management of the health system, could not come soon enough.
