The case between the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the last election in Kaduna State, Isa Ashiru Kudan versus the Independent National Electoral commission INEC, Governor Nasiru Ahmed El-rufai and the All Progressive Congress APC in Appeal Court sitting in Kaduna has been adjoined to July 3rd, 2019.
Liberty News Correspondent, Muhammed Idris reports that Justice Hussaini Mukhtar who presided over the case stated this on the ground that one of the counsels said his client was served late and need five days to study the appellant brief and secondly, two of the judges were absent hence the panel of judges that was supposed to be seven had only five present including the presiding judge, justice Husaini Muktar.
Meanwhile, before the commencement of the case, Justice Husaini Muktar has assured of the panel commitment of discharging its duties to the best of its ability, in line with judicial law. He also advise legal luminary appearing for their clients to showcase good ethnics while appearing before the court.
PDP is asking for the recount of votes cast in the last governorship election in Kaduna State which the governorship election petition tribunal in the state earlier dismiss in its ruling.
