Reverend Fathers Callistus Onyanusi and Tony Umana have urged children and youths not to keep companies with anyone that will keep them away from God.
Onyanusi, a Redemptorist Priest from Enugu Diocese, and Umana from Abeokuta Diocese gave the advice during their sermons to commemorate the 2019 Children’s day.
Onyanusi spoke at Saints Joachim and Anne Catholic Church in Ijegun, Lagos State while Umana spoke at Saint Thomas Catholic Church, Papa-Ibafo, Ogun. He said any friendship that would keep anyone from God, who is supposed to be the greatest and only true friend to man, should be discarded.
Also, Reverend Father Tony Umana, the Priest of Saint Thomas Catholic Church, advised children to keep friends that would help them to realise the purpose of God in their lives. He advised them not to tell lies at home or in schools but be obedient to their parents and teachers.
