A former international and former Eagles player Dahiru Sadi has tipped the Flying Eagles to go very far in the 2019 FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Poland.
The Flying Eagles are gunning for their first world title having finished as runners-up in 1989 in Saudi Arabia and 2005 in Holland and as third best in 1985 in Russia.
The Flying Eagles are expected to kick-start their campaign in Poland with their first group match against Qatar today, Friday.
The former Flying Eagles player expressed confidence that the team enjoyed adequate preparation, which he said should be enough to take them far in Poland. He also said a bit of luck will be necessary for the team to succeed as he maintained that luck plays an important role in all human endeavours.
Sadi also said his confidence is based on the new players that were brought into the team after the AFCON championship in Niamey. He expressed hope that the newly introduced strikers in the team would deliver the goals in Poland.
