On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, in his Abuja office, the FCT Minister, Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, engaged in a significant dialogue with His Excellency, Ambassador Kalilou Traore, the Ambassador of Cote D’Ivoire to Nigeria. Their meeting aimed to foster collaboration and development between the two nations.

Barrister Wike, emphasizing the importance of cooperation among ECOWAS countries, affirmed that the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) will continue to enhance its ties with Cote D’Ivoire. 

The Minister said, “We will continue to strengthen our relationship. Luckily our President is the Chairman of ECOWAS. So, we will do everything possible to see that our relationship is smooth and cordial in such a way that there will be a symbiotic relationship”.

The FCT Minister, Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, thanked Cote D’Ivoire’s diplomatic mission for their commitment to developing their land in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). He specifically requested the revitalization of abandoned and unfinished structures within the FCT, emphasizing that this measure contributes to enhancing security in the area.

While speaking, the Ivorian envoy conveyed the mission’s intention to bolster bilateral cooperation between Nigeria, the largest country in Africa, and Cote D’Ivoire, the largest among Francophone countries on the continent.
