KTSG Approves N3bn For Cattle Ranching In 10 Frontline LGAs

The Katsina State Government has approved the sum of over 3 billion naira for the first phase of developing cattle ranches across the 10 frontline Local Government Areas of the state.

The Special Adviser to Governor Aminu Masari on Livestock and Grazing Reserves, Lawal Bagiwa, said this to newsmen at the end of the state executive council meeting in Katsina.

Bagiwa said that 305 million naira was earmarked for the project in Jibia, Batsari, Safana, Dutsinma, Faskari, Sabuwa, Dandume, Danmusa, Kurfi and Kankara Local Government Areas each.

It will be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari had in 2021 approved the sum of over 6.2 billion naira for the establishment of cattle ranches in the state.

Bagiwa explained that the project was part of the state government’s effort to end the security challenges across the affected areas.
