As the country continues to record more cases of COVID-19, experts urge the government to intensify efforts on research for local remedies.
It was reported that the number of COVID-19 cases in the country had been on the rise since July 2022.
Director-General of the Nigerian Institute Of Medical Research NIMR, Babatunde Salako, who spoke on this development said that continuous research on local remedies and surveillance should be of top priority.
He urged Nigerians to continue to adhere to all precautionary measures given by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC to curb the spread of the virus.
