Football administrators in Enugu State hailed Super Falcons of Nigeria qualification for the 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations AWCON in Morocco.
Falcons defeated Baby Elephant 2-0 in the first leg played in Nigeria and 1-0 at the second leg played in Cote D’Ivoire.
The administrators hailed the Falcons qualifications, saying that the team showed their supremacy over the Ivorians by defeating them both home and away.
The Chairman, Enugu State Football Association, Tony Ugwu, said the players did well considering the growth of football in the continent.
He said there were no more pushovers in Africa female football as days were gone when Super Falcons beat teams with big margins.
