Reports say unknown gunmen attacked ECWA Church, Gabaciwa in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing one worshipper while many others were injured.
Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan who confirmed the incident in a statement added that in a same vein, some bandits also attacked the Bina community of Igabi Local Government Area and killed one person.
He stated that Governor Nasir El-Rufai, of Kaduna State has condemned the attack against worshippers by bandits, describing it as an evil act targeting innocent citizens exercising their constitutional and universal rights to religious freedom. He explained that security agencies are gathering details, on which the government will update the public in due course.
