The Special Task Force charged with maintaining peace in Plateau state and environs have warned against any protest over the attacks on commuters in Jos on Saturday.

Media Officer of the Task Force Major Ishaku Takwa in a statement in Jos said in the interest of peace, youths planning any protest over the incident should cancel the plan, noting that there is a curfew in place; no one should attempt to violate it.

He added that information at the disposal of the task force indicated that the protest is proposed to commence from the Jos Central Mosque axis to the State House Assembly premises.

Takwa however, warned that the 24-hour curfew imposed by the state government in Jos North Local Government Area had not been lifted, hence anyone found wanting would be decisively dealt with.

The Media Officer also called on residents to be law abiding, support the military and other security agencies toward ending all forms of insecurity in the state.
