The dethroned Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi the second has broken his silence over his dethronement by the state Government.
Sanusi in a video message accepted his dethronement as an act of destiny. The video was recorded at the Kano Palace on Monday before Sanusi was banished into exile by security personnel.
The dethroned Emir said with almost six years on the throne and in charge of their heritage, the almighty Allah, who gave him the leadership has destined to take it back”.
Sanusi called on all titleholders and palace officials to support whoever emerged as the emir.
Sanusi also expressed appreciation to the people of Kano, titleholders, lieutenants and friends for their support and affection during his reign.
A son of late Ado Bayero who was
Sanusi’s predecessor, Aminu Ado Bayero has been announced as the new emir with
the endorsement of the four Kano kingmakers.
