The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has cleared about sixty nine political parties for November 16th, governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa States.

INEC gave the Summary of Party Nominations for Kogi 2019 election as follows: forty nine submitted nominations; forty one valid nominations; eight invalid nominations; eighteen withdrawals after submitting nomination, and twenty three parties contesting in the election. While that of Bayelsa state showed that fifty two submitted nominations; forty six valid nominations; six invalid nominations; one Withdrawal after submitting nomination, and forty five Parties contesting in the election.

Meanwhile, as the preparation for elections in Kogi and Bayelsa States continue, the collection of Permanent Voters’ Cards, PVCs ended today, September 30, 2019.

The collection of PVCs commenced on September 2nd, holding between 9am and 3pm from Monday to Friday.
