According to the statement, the targeting Misrata was due to the use of Turkish drones to the city airport.

The army added that the general command has warned against this, but to no avail.

The UN-backed government confirmed targeting Jufra airbase, which is located some 650 kilometres east of Tripoli and controlled by the eastern-based army.

Mohamed Gunounou, the spokesman of the UN-backed government’s forces, said in a statement that the air force launched two airstrikes targeting anti-aircraft weapons and ground positions of Haftar’s militias.
