The International Football Association Board, IFAB has officially agreed a number of amendments and clarifications to the current laws of the game on June 1st 2019.
The association said it is not the first time rules of the game have been nipped and it probably will not be the last as administrators continue to figure out the best way forward in a world of changing technology.

Among some changes are Substituted players can leave the field anywhere.
When a player is withdrawn they will no longer have to leave the field at the halfway line and will instead be permitted to leave the pitch at the nearest point. Also there will be no rebounds from penalties.
