The Governors of Kaduna, Kebbi, Sokoto, Katsina and Zamfara States are expected to meet tomorrow, Thursday in Katsina to strategize and reinforce efforts in tackling security challenges in their states.
Governor Bello Matawalle, of Zamfara state, who made this known in Gusau, said the governors will review the various tactics so far taken at individual State levels with a view to fine-tuning, strategizing and strengthening them for enduring peace.
Matawalle, who was one-time the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Security explained that he had brought some of the experiences he acquired from that committee to bear on the Zamfara situation.
Zamfara State, which had been in the news in the past due to armed banditry, kidnapping, cattle-rustling and other crimes now enjoy relative peace.
